30 Days of Rebranding

The challenge was to design and post something on Instagram every day for 30 days. The topic was open-ended, so I chose to reenvision three brands that I like: Cold Stone Creamery, Urth Caffé, and Ike’s Love & Sandwiches. For my audience, I targeted those who are 16–35 years old and enjoy the products that these businesses offer.

Process

Each brand cycle lasted ten days: I dedicated one day to the main logo, one to a logo animation, one to a sign or card mockup, four to merchandise mockups, two to web page mockups, and one to an Instagram mockup (Instagram mockup credit: @juliantara on Figma). I also prepared multiple images for many of the days in order to make it more fun to engage with the posts (e.g., split an image into two slides).

Process (cont.)

This process involved research, Procreate, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, and photography. For the web pages, I used my own photography and mockups.

Results

Although I struggled with the rigor of this project, I grew as a designer. I improved at branding identity, making mockups, and creating different designs.
